Sal Villarruel

Sal Villarruel currently serves as the VP of Engineering at QPC Fiber Optic, LLC, since October 2023. Prior experience includes roles at ITT Cannon from March 2014 to November 2023 as a Sr. Product Development Engineer, focusing on fiber optic harsh environment connector design, and as Director of Research Development. Earlier positions include Sr. Project Engineer at Delphi Connection Systems and Glenair Inc., contributing to the product development of military and commercial fiber optic connectors, and a similar role at Delphi Automotive Systems. Sal began a career in engineering as a Design Engineer at McFadden Systems, Inc. Sal earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles, between 1987 and 1997.
