Christina Cargill, PhD has a diverse work experience. Christina is currently the Head of Research at Qrono Inc., a position they have held since 2022. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh from 2016 to 2020, where they gained extensive experience in the fields of immunology and cellular metabolism in the context of Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). During their PhD work, they were also a Graduate Student Researcher and focused on understanding the role that nutrient availability and utilization plays in the activation and effector function of pathogenic, self-reactive T cells during T1D. Additionally, they were a Consultant (volunteer based) at Fourth River Solutions from 2020 to 2021 and a Teaching Assistant at the University of New Haven from 2015 to 2016.

Christina Cargill, PhD, began their educational journey with a Bachelor's Degree in Forensic Science- Biology and Biology, General from the University of New Haven, which they completed in 2015. Christina then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health, which they completed in 2021.
