Chris Smolen

Chris Smolen is a highly skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in acoustical engineering and loudspeaker design. Currently serving as the Technical Director at QSC since November 2016, Chris leads architectural and design efforts for Portable PA and Live Sound Loudspeaker products and has been the acoustical architect for the KC12. Prior to this role, Chris worked on various loudspeaker design projects, including bookshelf speaker, subwoofer configurations, and conducted research as a Graduate Assistant at McMaster University. With a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University and a Master’s degree from McMaster University, Chris combines academic knowledge with practical experience gained through various roles in teaching, research, and engineering.
