Kurt Soto

Kurt Soto is a highly accomplished data science professional with extensive experience in various roles across leading companies. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at QSC since November 2023, Kurt previously held multiple key positions at Sonos, Inc., including Principal Research Engineer and Senior Data Scientist, where significant contributions included the development of algorithms for enhancing user interactions and creating innovative data collection systems. Kurt has a strong background in voice data analysis, having filed a total of 13 patents across multiple projects related to WiFi sensing and voice interaction technologies. Prior experience includes a Data Science Fellowship at Insight Data Science, a Postdoctoral Researcher role at ETH Zurich in Astrophysics, and research positions at UC Santa Barbara and UC Berkeley. Kurt holds a PhD and Master's degree in Physics from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Astronomy from the University of California, Berkeley.
