Matthew Shields

Matthew Shields is an experienced professional with a strong background in mechanical engineering and nuclear operations. Currently serving as a Critical Environment Supervisor at QTS Data Centers since December 2022, Matthew previously held the position of Technical Services Sector Manager at Michelin, where responsibilities included overseeing plant reliability and managing a substantial repair parts inventory. Matthew's extensive career in the US Navy spanned over two decades, during which roles included Nuclear Plant Operations Manager, Mechanical Systems Expert, and various leadership positions focused on training and quality assurance within nuclear systems. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University and has pursued an MBA at Clemson University since August 2020.
