Kate Johnson has over 15 years of work experience in various roles. Kate'smost recent position was as the Vice President of Correspondent Banking at Quad City Bank & Trust, where they focused on providing financial services to businesses and individuals. Before that, they worked at Unpaved Creative, LLC as a Brand Image Coach, Writer, and Public Relations specialist, helping small- to mid-sized organizations with brand development and communication strategy. Kate also worked as a Public Relations Consultant at martinb+co (now OnPurpose PR), where they managed client relationships and served as a copywriter for strategic communications. Prior to that, they held the role of Project Manager and Operations Officer at Citizens First National Bank, responsible for system testing, process improvement, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Kate also has experience in correspondent banking operations and project management at Quad City Bank & Trust. Kate began their career as a Copy Editor at the Bureau County Republican, where they reviewed and edited content for adherence to style guidelines and worked under tight deadlines.
Kate Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they attended from 2000 to 2004. Following that, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Journalism from the Academy of Art University, where they studied from 2011 to 2014. In addition to their academic accomplishments, Kate obtained a certification as a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher from the Yoga Alliance in May 2021.
