John Bustle MD, MHCM has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. John currently holds the position of Chief Medical and Operations Officer at QuadMed, where they started in May 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Medical Officer at QuadMed since April 2021. Before joining QuadMed, they worked at Cigna as a Market Medical Executive from September 2020 to April 2021. John also has experience in executive roles at Bates County Memorial Hospital, where they served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer from April 2017 to September 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Family Physician and Medical Director at the Adrian Family Care Clinic from August 2010 to April 2017.

John Bustle MD, MHCM has a strong educational background in the field of medicine. John began their education journey by completing a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Chemistry and Biology from MidAmerica Nazarene University in the years 1998 to 2002. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, specializing in Medicine, from 2003 to 2007.

Dr. Bustle then pursued practical training by joining the University of Kansas Medical Center for their Residency in the Family Medicine Residency Program, which they successfully completed during the period of 2007 to 2010. This led him to become board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine in July 2010.

Recognizing the importance of leadership skills in their career, Dr. Bustle further enriched their knowledge and abilities by attending the Saint Lukes Health System Physician Leadership Development Program at UMKC Henry W. Bloch School of Management in 2018.

Driven by a desire to contribute to the healthcare field at a managerial level, Dr. Bustle pursued a Master's degree in Health Care Management from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. John completed this program between 2018 and 2020, acquiring comprehensive knowledge in health care management.

In addition to their academic achievements, Dr. Bustle has also obtained notable certifications. John became a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine in February 2017, demonstrating their expertise in the field of obesity medicine. In November 2016, they achieved the Degree of Fellow from the American Academy of Family Physicians, solidifying their position as a skilled family physician. Lastly, Dr. Bustle has been recognized as Family Medicine Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine since July 2010.
