Nabil-Fareed Alikhan

Nabil-Fareed Alikhan is currently a Senior Bioinformatician at The Centre for Genomic Pathogen Surveillance since January 2024 and has been a Bioinformatics Scientific Programmer at Quadram Institute since December 2018, where responsibilities include managing staff for SARS-CoV-2 genome sequencing and contributing to data management as Interim Head of Informatics. Prior experience includes roles at the University of Warwick as a Senior Research Fellow in Pathogen Genomics and Research Fellow in Genomics of Bacterial Pathogens, focusing on integrating and analyzing genomic data. Nabil-Fareed Alikhan also held positions as a Research Associate at The University of Queensland, where duties involved system administration and developing bioinformatics software pipelines. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy and dual bachelor's degrees in Microbiology and Computer Software Engineering from The University of Queensland.
