Nicola Watson

Nicola Watson has a diverse work experience in the field of compliance, risk management, and finance. Nicola currently holds the position of Head of Compliance & Risk, Principal at Quadrature since January 2023. Before that, they worked as the Head of Compliance and Risk at Quadrature from October 2022 to January 2023, and as a Compliance Officer from June 2021 to October 2022.

Prior to their role at Quadrature, Nicola served as a Board Director for CPO/CTA Category at the National Futures Association from 2018 to May 2021.

Nicola also has extensive experience at Winton Group, where they held various positions including Managing Director from 2019 to December 2020, Managing Director at Winton Capital US, CEO & Director of Winton Fund Management from 2013 to 2019, Chief Compliance Officer from 2015 to 2017, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer from 2011 to 2013, Head of Risk Management from 2010 to 2011, and Risk Manager from 2007 to 2010.

Additionally, Nicola has worked at Managed Funds Association as the Chair of International Affairs Committee in 2020 and Vice Chair of International Affairs Committee from 2018 to 2020.

Nicola'scareer also includes roles as Futures Risk Manager at ICAP from 2005 to 2007, Senior Risk Analyst at ASX in 2004, Senior Risk Analyst and Risk Analyst at LCH from 2000 to 2003, and Research Assistant at LCH in 1999. Nicola started their career as a Junior Tax Consultant at KPMG in 1998 and served as a Research Assistant at Bank of England from 1997 to 1998.

Nicola Watson has a Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics from Birkbeck, University of London, which they completed in 2004. In addition to their undergraduate degree, they have obtained several certifications. In 2007, they earned the certifications for Unit 1 - UK Financial Regulation, Unit 2 - Securities, and Unit 3 - Derivatives from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI). In 2018, Nicola obtained the Series 32 Limited Futures Exam certification from the National Futures Association.
