Matt Houde is a co-founder and project manager at Quaise Energy, where expertise is focused on advancing the clean energy transition through innovative supercritical geothermal energy drilling technology. Prior experience includes a contractor role at AltaRock Energy, where successful proposal writing secured a multi-million dollar research funding from the DOE, as well as serving as a course assistant at the Stanford Center for Professional Development, supporting engineering courses. Additional experience encompasses geology internships and research assistant positions at Ormat Technologies, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and IEA Renewable Energy, alongside an engineering R&D assistant role at Sonoco. Matt holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Geological/Geophysical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, complemented by a Certificate of Proficiency from The University of Auckland.
