Joe Esposito

Joe Esposito has over 15 years of software engineering experience. Joe began their career as a Freelance Software Developer in 2003, and then worked as a Mathematics and Computer Science Image Processing Intern at Duquesne University in 2005. In 2008, they were a Software Engineer at Confluence, where they developed a Microsoft Word Add-in to allow customers to create and format data-driven reports, designed library modules in C# that modeled the behavior of Excel using the MVC pattern, and wrote a tool to compare sets of image files to highlight their changes using image processing techniques. In 2011, Joe was a Software Engineer at SnapRetail, where they implemented multiple core features of the web platform, helped restructure the website, and developed a calendar-based social media interface to help retailers visualize and schedule social campaigns. In 2013, Joe was a Contract Software Engineer at SnapRetail/SnapRx and a Co-founder and CTO at Spacefinity. At Qualaris Healthcare Solutions from 2014-present, Joe has consulted on a tech upgrade and site-wide redesign, authored a dev project with a focus on DX, developed and maintained a basic, low-maintenance version of the site and an accompanying API, automated recurring manual tasks, led efforts toward stable continuous integration, and led data model initiatives.

Joe Esposito obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from Duquesne University between 2003 and 2007. Joe also obtained a certification in Introduction to Artificial Intelligence from Udacity in September 2009, and a certification in Programming with C++ from ExpertRating in September 2003.
