Kurt Otte

Kurt Otte is a seasoned engineering professional with over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, currently serving as the Sr. Director of Engineering at Qualcomm since July 2002. In this role, Otte leads a global software engineering team of over 400 individuals, focusing on the NR 5G Access Stratum and overseeing the development of critical features and components for Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets. Prior to joining Qualcomm, Otte was an instructor at Purdue University, managing senior design labs and supervising student projects. Otte began a career in technology as an intern at Thomson Consumer Electronics, where responsibilities included developing prototypes for embedded internet service platforms. Otte holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University.
