Tom Cargill

Tom Cargill is an accomplished engineering executive with extensive experience in the technology sector, particularly in wireless connectivity and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Since December 2006, Tom has served as Vice President of Engineering at Qualcomm, leading the engineering teams for IoT and overseeing global projects in wireless connectivity and location technology. Prior roles at Qualcomm include Sr. Director Engineering and Principal Engineer/Manager, where Tom managed teams delivering Bluetooth, NFC, and other wireless technologies. Prior to joining Qualcomm, Tom held leadership positions at RF Micro Devices, Silicon Wave, Sony, and Cruisephone, starting as a System Engineer and progressing to senior management roles. Tom earned a Master’s degree in Communication Signal Analysis from UC San Diego and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University.
