Hiroyuki Fujita

Hiroyuki Fujita 藤田浩之 has held various roles throughout their work experience. Hiroyuki is currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at The Ohio State University since May 2022 and has been a Board Member since August 2016. Additionally, they are a Member of the Board of Governors at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology since 2021.

In their previous positions, Fujita has served as the Chair of the Board of Trustees at Hillcrest Hospital within the Cleveland Clinic starting from January 2020. Hiroyuki has also been a Member of the Board of Trustees at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital since January 2013. As the Chief Technology Officer in the CT-MR Division, Fujita worked for Canon Medical Systems Corporation starting from October 2019.

Furthermore, Fujita has been involved in the Greater Cleveland Partnership as a Board Member since 2019. Hiroyuki founded and served as the CEO of Quality Electrodynamics (QED) from 2006 to 2019. Additionally, they acted as the Honorary Consul of Japan in Cleveland for the Government of Japan starting in November 2018. Hiroyuki has also served as a Board Member for The Cleveland Orchestra since 2011.

In academia, Fujita has held various positions at Case Western Reserve University. These include being an Adjunct Full Professor of Radiology since 2011, an Adjunct Full Professor of Physics from 2009 to 2011, an Adjunct Associate Professor of Radiology from 2005 to 2010, an Adjunct Associate Professor of Physics from 2001 to 2009, and the Director of Imaging Physics from 2005 to 2006.

Lastly, Fujita has been a Board Member at the Cleveland Foundation since 2012.

Hiroyuki Fujita attended Niigata Prefectural Kamimaki High School from 1983 to 1985, where they did not declare a specific field of study. Hiroyuki then enrolled at Waseda University in 1987, but did not obtain a degree in Civil Engineering. Fujita subsequently attended Monmouth College from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics and Mathematics. Finally, they pursued a Ph.D. in Physics at Case Western Reserve University from 1992 to 1998.
