Ronald Bakker has a diverse work experience that spans over several companies and roles. Ronald is currently working as a Java Software Engineer at ING since 2022. Before that, they worked at Qualogy as a Java Community Builder and a Java/Full Stack Developer from 2006 to 2021. Ronald also worked at Albert Heijn as a Java Software Engineer from 2020 to 2022 and as a Project Manager, Lead Java Developer, and Java/J2EE Consultant for their E-commerce division from 2006 to 2016. In addition, Ronald has experience as a Full Stack Developer at Bank Mendes Gans from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant at Virgil and as a Java/J2EE Consultant, Teamleader, and Business Analyst at Rabobank International. Ronald began their career as a Programmer at Swets & Zeitlinger from 1996 to 1999.

Ronald Bakker completed their secondary education at Bonaventura College from 1984 to 1990, where they obtained a VWO diploma. Following this, they attended Leiden University from 1990 to 1996, earning a degree known as a "drs" in Computer Science. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Coursera Course Certificate in Machine Learning in November 2016 and in January 2020, they completed a Coursera Course Certificate in Introduction to Philosophy.
