Farog Mohamed

Farog Mohamed is an experienced Electrical Engineer with a focus on power systems and electrical safety. Currently serving as an Engineering Associate at Mesa Associates, Inc since October 2020, Farog specializes in conducting load flow, short circuit, and Arc Flash studies, as well as designing electrical schematics and providing hazard mitigation recommendations. Prior roles include Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where Farog conducted research on battery lifetime extension and grid integration, and an Electrical Power Engineer Intern at John Deere, where focus was on test plans for electric transmission systems. Farog also has experience as a Research and Development Engineer at Sudanese Chinese Meter Factory, an Electrical Engineer at Salma Smart Solutions, and a Protection and Control Engineer at Elecon for Electrical Services. Farog holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Power Systems Engineering from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Khartoum.
