Svetlana Zavelskaya

Svetlana Zavelskaya has extensive work experience in the technology and engineering field. Svetlana is currently working at Quanata as the Head of Software Engineering, Data Platform and Infrastructure, leading teams responsible for insurance business infrastructure and data enablement. Svetlana'sresponsibilities include core business logic development, data engineering, quality assurance, and validation of code and data platforms.

Prior to this, Svetlana worked at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) where they held various leadership positions. Svetlana served as the Executive Director of Platform Engineering and Delivery, overseeing enterprise infrastructure and providing engineering services for corporate data management technologies. Svetlana was also responsible for the operationalization of corporate middleware tools as the Executive Director of Middleware Platform Engineering.

Before joining DTCC, Svetlana worked as the Director of Data Platform Engineering, where they led multiple teams and provided services in the areas of distributed databases, mainframe databases, data integration, business analytics, and artificial intelligence. Svetlana also had roles in Enterprise Tools Management and Solutions Engineering, IT Architecture.

Svetlana started their career as an IT Architect and subsequently held managerial positions. Overall, they have a wealth of experience in leading global teams and enabling technological capabilities across various domains.

Svetlana Zavelskaya holds various degrees and certifications. Svetlana has a Certification in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy from MIT Sloan School of Management. Svetlana also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Financial Management and IT from Pace University - Lubin School of Business. Svetlana'seducational background also includes a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², Agile Product Owner from Scrum Alliance, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC).
