Michael Haupt

Michael Haupt has extensive work experience in various leadership and managerial roles. Michael is currently serving as the Engineering VP at Quandoo | Online Restaurant Booking. Prior to this, they worked at Babbel GmbH as the Engineering Director, leading the learning experience teams responsible for the language learning applications. Before that, they held positions at eBay, where they served as the Head of DE Regional Engineering, Engineering Manager, and Agile Software Development Team Lead. Michael also worked at Oracle as a Principal Member of Technical Staff, focusing on the Java Platform Group. Additionally, Michael worked as a Postdoc/Lecturer at the Hasso Plattner Institute, conducting research on virtual machine product line architectures. Michael also served as the Deputy Chair Theoretical Computer Science at Technische Universität Darmstadt and had earlier roles as a Wissenschaftlicher Angestellter, conducting doctoral research on virtual machine support for aspect-oriented programming.

Michael Haupt completed their education at the Technische Universität Darmstadt from 2001 to 2006, earning a degree in Dr.-Ing. in Informatik. Prior to that, they attended Universität Siegen from 1994 to 2000, where they obtained a Diplom degree in Technische Informatik. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications from different institutions, including The Six Types of Working Genius, IntelliCoach, Coursera, Baeldung, Lynda.com, and others. The obtained certifications range from topics such as deep learning, machine learning, DevOps, programming languages, and app development.
