Daniel Althviz Moré has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Daniel started their career in 2016 as a Junior Developer at Anaconda, Inc., where they were part of the team responsible for maintaining and supporting the Spyder IDE project. Daniel implemented features and resolved errors for the core project and the Spyder Notebook plugin.
In 2018, Daniel worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Université Jean Monnet Saint-Etienne, where they contributed to the implementation of new features in the platform and tools of the Human Heart Project. Daniel also created installers for Windows and MacOS.
From 2017 to 2020, Daniel held various roles at Universidad de Los Andes. Daniel worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, supporting the development of the Software Factories and Product Lines course. Daniel also served as a Systems Assistant and Project Assistant at the Evaluation Center, where they contributed to the development of applications to support projects managed by the center.
In 2019, Daniel joined Quansight as a Software Engineer, focusing on the open-source project Spyder. Daniel worked on maintaining the project, triaging and fixing issues, and implementing new features. Daniel also contributed to the improvement and implementation of plugins and dependencies.
Most recently, in 2021, Daniel worked as a Software Developer at Université de Bordeaux. Daniel was responsible for implementing and maintaining new functionalities for the SPINE platform. This included working on security requirements and visualization of results on medical images.
Throughout their career, Daniel has worked with a range of frameworks, tools, and languages, including Python, Java, JavaScript, React, Redux, Nodejs, PostgreSQL, and more.
Daniel Althviz Moré completed their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes in 2018. Daniel then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Systems and Computing Engineering from the same university, which they completed in 2018 as well. In 2017, Daniel also obtained a Minor in Biology from Universidad de Los Andes. Afterward, they enrolled in Universidad de Los Andes to pursue a Master's degree in Software Engineering, which they completed in 2020.
In addition to their formal education, Daniel Althviz Moré has obtained certifications in Applied Analytics Using SAS ® Enterprise Miner and SAS ® Enterprise Guide 1: Querying and Reporting from SAS Institute Colombia S.A.S.
