Melissa Weber Mendonça

Melissa Weber Mendonça has a diverse work experience that spans across different roles and industries. From January 2020 to the present, they have worked at Quansight as a Senior Developer Experience Engineer, where they are responsible for enhancing the experience of developers. Prior to that, Melissa worked as a Software Engineer at the same company. In addition, Melissa has a strong academic background and was a Professor at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina from August 2010 to January 2020. In this role, they focused on teaching, research, and extension work, specializing in applied mathematics with a focus on optimization, numerical analysis, recursive and multigrid methods, scientific computing, and computational linear algebra.

Melissa Weber Mendonça completed their education with a focus on optimization and mathematics. Melissa first pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Scientific Computing from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina from 1999 to 2002. Melissa then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Mathematics and Scientific Computing with a specialization in optimization and applied mathematics from the same university, from 2003 to 2005. Later, they furthered their studies at Université de Namur, where they earned a Doctorate degree in Optimization from 2005 to 2009.
