Jorge Rivero Dones

Jorge Rivero Dones has extensive work experience in the field of data science. Jorge is currently working as a Data Scientist at QUANT AI Lab since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Linea Directa Aseguradora as a Data Scientist from April 2019 to April 2021.

Before joining Linea Directa Aseguradora, Jorge worked at Strategy Big Data as a Data Scientist from November 2016 to March 2019. In this role, they were involved in the implementation of the RFML model for customer segmentation using R. Jorge translated an initial algorithm written in SAS, performed data manipulation, evaluated customer purchase responses to offers, and computed RFML scores.

Jorge also worked as a Freelance Programmer from August 2015 to August 2016, where they developed and adjusted Matlab programs as required. Jorge also developed a desktop program using Python and GTK to perform queries over a MySQL database of a website.

Prior to their freelance work, Jorge worked as a Statistician at Audatex España from July 2015 to August 2016. Jorge also had teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid from September 2013 to July 2014.

Additionally, Jorge has academic experience as an Associate Professor at the University of Camaguey "Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz" from January 2010 to July 2012. Jorge also worked as a Professor and Researcher at the University of Medical Sciences "Carlos J. Finlay" from October 2007 to December 2010. Jorge'sresearch focused on time series analysis and forecasting of epidemiological data, and they implemented various algorithms for time series analysis using R and Matlab.

Jorge Rivero Dones obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas, completing their studies from 2002 to 2007. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Mathematics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, which they successfully completed from 2012 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Jorge also obtained certifications in HTML Fundamentals and a Python 3 Course from SoloLearn in August 2016.
