Chad Abbey

Chad Abbey is an experienced leader in the energy sector, currently serving as the Vice President of Advisory Services at Quanta Technology, LLC, where responsibilities include providing strategic guidance on decarbonization and grid modernization. Previously, Chad held key positions at Smarter Grid Solutions, including Executive Advisor and VP of Power Systems, overseeing power systems consultancy and smart grid product development. Chad's earlier experience includes a role as a Research Engineer at Hydro-Québec, focusing on the integration of Smart Grids and renewable energy, and a Project Manager position at Natural Resources Canada, managing research projects related to renewable energy integration. Chad Abbey holds a Ph.D. in Power Engineering, an M.Eng. in Power Engineering, and a B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering, all from McGill University and the University of Alberta.
