Amr Salem has worked in various roles in the technology industry since 1993. Amr began their career at Digital Equipment Corporation (USA) as a Salesperson. In 1998, they moved to Compaq Computer Corporation as General Manager of the Gulf & Levant. Amr then joined HP in 2001 as Director and General Manager of the Gulf & Levant. In 2006, they joined Cisco Systems as Corporate Vice President of Global Public Sector, where they also served as Global Managing Director of Smart Cities and IoT for Public Sector, Global Managing Director of Smart Cities, Internet of Everything, and Director of Public Sector, Emerging Markets. Amr was also a Board Member for three Cisco Market Adjacencies and an External Board Member of Majitek representing Cisco. In 2022, they joined the Forbes Technology Council as an Official Member. Since 2019, they have been the Chief Executive Officer of Quantela Inc. and a Chief Operating Officer and Board Advisor.

Amr Salem completed a BSc in Electronics Engineering from Cairo University between 1988 and 1993. Amr then went on to earn an MBA in Marketing from Washington International University from 1999 to 2001. Amr is currently enrolled in The Corporate Governance Institute, where they are expected to obtain a Corporate Governance Diploma in Business Administration and Management, General in 2022.
