Alex Cowan

Alex Cowan is a Senior Software Engineer at Quantexa since March 2021, after previously serving as a Software Engineer. Prior experience includes working as a Software Engineer and Technical Associate at Elsevier from September 2019 to March 2021. Alex's earlier roles include a Materials Summer Intern at Rolls-Royce, focusing on the development of nickel disc alloys for gas turbines, and a Research Assistant at Imperial College London, where a novel rig for testing radioactive alloys was designed. Additional experience encompasses serving as Secretary for the Imperial College Materials Society and participating as a Hardware Exhibitor for WizDish Ltd at the EGX gaming event. Alex holds a Master of Engineering in Materials Science and Engineering from Imperial College London, completed in 2019, following a foundational education at Magdalen College School, Oxford.
