James McDermott

James McDermott is an accomplished leader in the fields of healthcare, data analytics, and investment. Currently serving as the Head of Vulcan at HL7 Vulcan since February 2025, James focuses on accelerating the adoption of HL7 FHIR in clinical research. As Executive Chairman and CEO of Achieve Intelligence, James emphasizes advanced data analytics and AI, positioning the company as a leader in business intelligence. Additionally, James holds the role of Managing Director at Sovereign Investment Group, specializing in ethical investment practices, and has a long-standing history in strategic leadership as the Director and Shareholder at Quanticate.
