Shrikar Thodla

Shrikar Thodla has a diverse work experience spanning back to 2014. Shrikar started their career as a Physics 235 Study Group Facilitator at the University of Michigan in 2016. Following that, they worked as a Laboratory Assistant at the University of Michigan, where they contributed to the development of an R package called SeqRetriever and conducted experiments on bacterial strains. Shrikar also performed RNA sequencing and organoid culture maintenance.

In 2018, Shrikar joined Infosys Limited as an Associate, where they worked until 2019. At Infosys, their responsibilities included associate-level tasks.

Next, they joined Retrace Labs as a Data Science Intern in 2019. Shrikar made significant contributions by training and deploying a neural network to detect accidental rotation in images. Shrikar optimized code to improve image querying from MongoDB and led the migration of full-stack components from Google Cloud to IBM.

In 2020, Shrikar became an AI Research Engineer at Riiid Labs. Shrikar worked on AI research projects and played a vital role in the company until March 2022.

Most recently, Shrikar joined Quantifind as an Associate Data Scientist in April 2022, where they are currently employed.

Shrikar Thodla pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Science from the University of San Francisco from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Life Sciences Informatics from the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts from 2013 to 2017. Alongside their major, they also obtained a minor in Mathematics during the same period. Additionally, Thodla holds certifications in Triplebyte certified Machine Learning Engineer from Triplebyte, which they obtained in May 2020, and Fundamentals of Deep Learning using PyTorch from The Data Institute, University of San Francisco. The specific obtained month and year for the latter certification are not provided.
