Layton Baker

Layton Baker is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in system engineering, process development, and project management across various industries, including aerospace, pharmaceuticals, and quantum computing. Currently serving as Lead System Engineer at Quantinuum since September 2024, Layton has previously held significant roles at VitriVax, where development of sterile manufacturing processes for novel technologies was led, and at Bayer, contributing to API process development and numerical modeling. Layton's expertise spans cryogenic systems, automation in microscopy, and thin-film materials, with a strong academic foundation, holding a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in Chemical and Materials Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
