Puru P. Sarathy

Puru P. Sarathy has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 2006, they worked at International Rectifier as a Rotation Engineer/Senior Engineer, developing expertise in semiconductor test and contributing to the research and development of Gallium Nitride based power ICs. In 2010, they interned at PIMCO as a Portfolio Analytics Intern. In 2012, they worked as an Associate Intern at BlackRock Fixed Income Global Alpha, where they collaborated with the PM on signal generation ideas and covered investing in EMEA AsiaPac and LatAm for a $3B portfolio. Puru also worked at the US Securities and Exchange Commission as a Financial Economist, conducting in-depth studies on credit markets and coordinating risk metrics reporting for major US banks. From 2016 to 2018, Sarathy worked at Circulum Vite as a Trader, leading automated trading for Canada and Hong Kong futures, building and deploying machine learning models, and back-testing investment hypotheses. Puru then joined JPMorgan Chase & Co. in 2018 as a VP QR, before transitioning to J.P. Morgan in 2020 as VP Digital and Platform Services. Currently, Sarathy is working at Quantitative Brokers as Director of Quantitative Research.

Puru P. Sarathy has a Master of Financial Engineering (MFE) degree in Finance from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Puru also holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Additionally, Puru has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering and a Master's degree in Economics from UCLA.
