Mario Goins II

Mario Goins II is a Space Sensing Systems Engineer at Axient, beginning in February 2023, contributing as a Modeling and Simulation Engineer in support of the United States Space Force. Previously, Mario served as an Associate Engineer at Millennium Engineering and Integration, focusing on the 6U CubeSat Imager project, utilizing Python and C frameworks for software and hardware tasks. Additional experience includes roles as a Laboratory Engineer at the Hines Family Foundation for Education Innovation and Service and a Summer Intern at the Port of Oakland, where responsibilities included database management and health program administration. Mario also interned at UCSF Medical Center, gaining exposure to orthopedic surgery and conducting research on adolescent ankle injuries. Mario is currently pursuing a Master's in Computer Science with a focus on Computational Perception at Georgia Institute of Technology, having completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from San Francisco State University.
