Mission Safety Lead For Commercial Crewed Vehicles at QuantiTech

Terry Quick has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Terry began their career at Ford Aerospace as a Senior Video Technician, where they maintained and repaired broadcast video equipment. Terry then worked as a Houston T.V. Controller at Ford Aerospace, controlling the operational downlinked television system for Mission Control. After that, Terry joined Allied Bendix Aerospace as a Communications Tech. Controller, operating the air-to-ground voice system and performing system engineering for optimal voice quality.

In 1989, Terry joined United Space Alliance, where they held various roles including Network Communications Ground Controller, Field Engineer IV (Ground Controller), and Mission Integration Manager. In these positions, they managed ground-space communications assets, ensured continuous coverage for shuttle missions, and led a team in engineering and processing space mission critical hardware. Terry also implemented continuous improvement methods and managed significant hardware assets.

Terry's career then took him to Raytheon, where they became a Field Engineer for the AN/TPY2 radar system. Terry completed an extensive training program and developed expertise in the Phase Array Radar System.

Following Raytheon, Terry worked at Weatherford as a Quality Assurance Director, overseeing detailed inspections on hardware for the oil industry. Terry led a team of inspectors, performed measurement and analysis tasks, and resolved inspection issues.

Before joining their current company, Axient, in 2015, Terry served as the Quality Manager at Lonestar Fasteners. In this role, they managed a team, led improvement initiatives, and streamlined the documentation review process, resulting in significant cost savings.

At Axient, Terry has held several roles including Software Safety Engineer, Vehicle System Engineer for Communication and Tracking, and currently serves as the Mission Safety Lead for Commercial Crewed Vehicles. Terry has been responsible for communication system engineering, system design for tracking, and overall mission safety for commercial space vehicles.

Throughout their career, Terry has demonstrated technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Terry Quick completed their education at Ferris State University, starting in 1979 and graduating in 1983. Terry first obtained an Associates of Applied Science degree in Radio/Television Service, where they focused on radio theory and servicing, specializing in A.M. and F.M. Terry'sstudies also included microwave and television engineering. Afterward, Terry pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Electronics from Ferris State University, where they expanded their knowledge in A.M., F.M., microwave, and television engineering. Additionally, Terry Quick also pursued a field of study in TIG welding at San Jacinto College, although the specific start and end dates are not provided.
