Ed Lucio

Ed Lucio, PhD, is an experienced data scientist currently serving as the Lead Data Scientist at Quantium since July 2023, specializing in machine learning applications for CommBank IQ. Previous roles include Data Science Chapter Lead at The Warehouse Group and ASB Bank, where responsibilities encompassed developing scalable ML capabilities and driving operational efficiencies. Ed’s background includes data science positions at Bank of New Zealand, focusing on strategic business decision models, and earlier roles at esteemed institutions such as the Institute for Social Science Research and the University of Tokyo. Ed holds a PhD in Applied Statistics from The University of Queensland, a Master’s degree in Public Policy from The University of Tokyo, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from the University of the Philippines.
