Edwin Ter Wijlen

Edwin Ter Wijlen's work experience begins in 2005, where they served as a Marketing & Communication professional for FC Twente until 2009. In that same year, they joined Van Oord as a Junior Superintendent for a brief period. From 2005 to 2006, Edwin was a Board Member of AIESEC, responsible for acquiring traineeships for foreign students at regional companies.

In 2008, Edwin pursued an MSc Thesis on Dynamic Capabilities at the University of Strathclyde. Following this, they joined STORK in 2009 as a General Management Trainee, eventually becoming a Product Line Director for Prefab Piping & Skids and a Business Unit Manager until 2013.

From 2013 to 2014, Edwin worked at LeadMaster Australia as a Sales Development Consultant. Edwin then joined Third Horizon Consulting and held positions as an Associate, Senior Associate, and Manager until 2015.

In 2015, Edwin joined QuantumBlack as an Analytics Translator/Engagement Manager, which later became part of McKinsey & Company. Within McKinsey, they held roles as a Junior Associate, Senior Associate, and Senior Engagement Manager until 2021.

Currently, Edwin works at Quantium as an Executive Manager - Growth, focusing on developing partnerships and ventures for accelerated growth.

Throughout their career, Edwin has gained experience in various industries such as sports, construction, consulting, and analytics.

Edwin Ter Wijlen's education history begins with their attendance at De Grundel, a grammar school, from 1996 to 2002. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Twente from 2002 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Edwin then pursued further education at the University of Strathclyde during the 2008-2009 academic year as part of the Erasmus Programme, focusing on DMEM (Degree subject unspecified). In 2007, they returned to the University of Twente to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they completed in 2009. Subsequently, in 2012, Edwin completed a summer course in Financial Management at Nyenrode Business University. Edwin went on to further their studies by obtaining a Postgraduate Degree specializing in Advanced Studies in Management from Open Universiteit in 2014-2015. Most recently, in 2021, Edwin attended the Texas McCombs School of Business, where they pursued a Postgraduate Degree in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning.
