William Zeng

William Zeng is a prominent figure in the field of quantum technology and venture capital. Currently serving as a Partner at Quantonation since July 2023, Zeng is involved with a global early-stage venture capital fund that focuses on technologies derived from advancements in physics and computing. In addition, Zeng holds the position of Board Member at Diraq, which specializes in integrating billions of qubits on a single chip, and is the Founder and President of the Unitary Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to fostering a beneficial quantum technology ecosystem. Prior to these roles, Zeng was Head of Advanced Computing R&D at Goldman Sachs, where innovative computing approaches were explored for financial applications. Zeng also contributed to academia as a Visiting Scholar and Adjunct Lecturer at Stanford University focusing on quantum programming. Early career efforts included various engineering and product roles at Rigetti Computing, where Zeng was instrumental in developing software for superconducting quantum processors. Zeng holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Physics from Yale University.
