Gautam Chand Jain

He is the man behind the group, a highly respected industrialist and visionary who began his career with the distribution of premium fabrics nationwide in 1979, quickly becoming India’s number one. In a country scaling new heights, he believed that industry was the future and thus, in 1991, he decided to venture into the business of granites. Acquiring large quarries, investing in the latest equipment from Italy and elsewhere in Europe, Pokarna Granites soon won a distinguished clientele in the world’s most competitive markets, making it India’s No. 1 granite company. Simultaneously, in 2004-5, the Group diversified from fabrics to high fashion men’s wear under the brand name of Stanza. With great attention to detail, luxury fabrics and components, the products were hailed for their quality by customers in India and abroad. In 2006, Mr. Jain looked at the future again and decided to leverage Pokarna Granites’ global pre-eminence and industry goodwill by manufacturing engineered stone made from natural quartz. Once again, Mr. Jain chose the industry’s pioneers and innovators as his partners: Breton SpA of Italy. Their patented technologies are the cornerstone of Quantra Quartz. The two state of the art plants are testimony to his vision.
