Al Lari Lavassani

Al Lari Lavassani has held a number of positions in the finance industry since 1991. Al began their career as a Postdoctoral and Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Waterloo, Guelph, Montreal, and The Fields Institute For Research In Mathematical Sciences. In 1997, they became an Associate Professor at the University of Calgary, and in 1998, they were appointed Director of the Mathematical and Computational Finance Laboratory at the University of Calgary. In 2002, Lavassani became the CEO of QuantRisk Corp., and in 2018 they were appointed CEO of SapienTrade.

Al Lari Lavassani has a comprehensive education history. Al started their educational journey in 1978, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Universit\u00e9 Paul Sabatier Toulouse III in 1981. Al then went on to earn a Master of Science in Mathematics from the same university in 1983. After that, they earned a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from Universit\u00e9 Laval in 1984. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics from The Ohio State University in 1990.
