Amos Anderson

Principal Software Engineer at Quantum Circuits

Amos is a scientific software engineer with a diverse background. He’s written software for quantum chemistry, computational chemistry, cheminformatics, protein modeling, protein design, ecology, and applications for scientific data management and analytics. That is coupled to a broad technical background including high performance computing, GPUs, full stack development of both desktop and web applications, and now quantum computing too, which brings him back to his passion for quantum mechanics. Amos was in Don Truhlar’s group as an undergraduate at the University of Minnesota and his PhD was in quantum Monte Carlo in Bill Goddard’s group at Caltech. This was followed by time at Protabit implementing computational protein design. While in Pfizer’s Computational Sciences group he contributed to partnerships across Medicinal Sciences in a wide array of scientific disciplines and technologies. His personal interests include spending time with family and friends, hiking, and exploring the world.
