Rich Nelson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Rich is currently working at EOS Linx as the Vice President of Security Sales, where they are involved in expanding the EV charger footprint and revolutionizing consumer-brand connections through EV charging, AI-based security, and out-of-home advertising. Prior to that, they worked as a Business Development Consultant at Quantum Computing, Inc., where they sought partners in logistics and other industries with constrained optimization problems to solve. Rich also served as a Strategic Advisory Board Member at Rejjee.
Rich has held leadership positions at several companies. Rich was the Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at Block Engineering, leading the Sales and Marketing organization for QCL laser products used for security and petrochemical markets. Rich was recognized for their work and won the 2019 MILIPOL Innovation Award. Rich was also the Vice President of Sales at 1st Detect, where they led revenue generation and business development for advanced mini-mass spectrometry technologies used in airport security, military, medical, and commercial markets.
In their earlier career, Rich worked at L3 Technologies Inc. (Implant Sciences Corp.), where they served as the General Manager of EMEA Sales. Rich successfully expanded the Explosive Trace Detection product sales revenue in the EMEA region. Prior to that, they ran their own consulting business, Richard D. Nelson Consulting, and provided strategic advice to various companies.
Rich has also held leadership roles at Philips Healthcare, where they served as the Sr. Director of Marketing for Global Customer Services and Global Field Marketing for CT scanners. Rich played a key role in driving revenue growth and market share expansion for the company. Additionally, Rich worked at GE Healthcare as the Premium Segment Marketing Manager for CT Americas, achieving significant business growth and market share capture. Rich started their career at Sunrise Medical as a Product Manager, managing a multi-million dollar product line and leading the development of an innovative and award-winning hospital bed. Overall, Rich Nelson has a strong track record of driving sales, leading teams, and delivering innovative solutions in various industries.
Rich Nelson obtained a BA degree in Sociology, Chemistry, and Biology from Dartmouth College during the period of 1988 to 1992. Rich proceeded to pursue an MBA degree in Strategic Management and Marketing from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management from 1994 to 1996. In 2006 to 2007, Rich completed the Executive Development Program at The Wharton School, specializing in the Wharton / Philips Octagon seven-month program.
