Strategic Partnerships Lead at Quantum Delta

Dr. Ulrich Mans has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and sectors. Dr. Ulrich currently serves as the Strategic Partnerships Lead at Quantum Delta NL. Prior to this, they worked as the German Market Entry Facilitator Greentech at Techleapnl. From 2018 to 2020, Dr. Mans served as an Innovation Attaché, Science and Technology, focusing on emerging technologies in the digital economy at the Netherlands Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy.

Before their role at the ministry, they worked as a Legal Advisor at the European Union, specializing in human rights, UN affairs, privacy, and humanitarian response. Dr. Ulrich also co-founded HumanityX, a network and space dedicated to solving global challenges through an interdisciplinary approach involving various stakeholders.

Dr. Mans has also held positions at Leiden University as the Head of Research Futures at the Centre for Innovation and at the International Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IIAS) as an Energy Policy Research Fellow. Additionally, they have worked as a Policy Consultant at UNEP and as a Resident Representative (interim) at the Life and Peace Institute.

Starting their career, Dr. Mans worked as a Policy Analyst at The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies. Throughout their career, they have gained expertise in areas such as emerging technologies, digital economy, human rights, sustainability, and policy analysis.

Dr. Ulrich Mans has a diverse education history. Dr. Ulrich obtained their Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Utrecht University in 1999. In 2003, they completed their MA in International Development Studies at Radboud University. Following this, from 2009 to 2014, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Environmental Science at the University of Amsterdam. Additionally, Dr. Mans has acquired several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2018, they obtained a certificate in Leading in the Digital Age from Boston University. Dr. Ulrich also holds certifications in Blockchain: Foundations and Use Cases from Coursera Course Certificates and Artificial Intelligence from deeplearning.ai, both obtained in 2018 and 2019, respectively. Furthermore, they completed a certificate program in Managing Yourself and Leading Others from Harvard Business School in 2019.
