Joost van der Heijden

Research Scientist at Quantum Machines

Joost van der Heijden has worked in various roles since 2010. Joost began as a student part-timer and technical employee at Hukseflux Thermal Sensors in 2010. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at UNSW. Joost then moved to DTU - Technical University of Denmark, where they were a Postdoctoral Researcher from 2017 to 2020. Since 2020, they have been a Research Scientist at QDevil. Joost will be continuing their work as a Research Scientist at Quantum Machines beginning in 2022.

Joost van der Heijden has a long history of education in the field of physics. Joost completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 2016. From 2008 to 2011, they earned their Master of Science degree from the Delft University of Technology in Applied Physics. Joost also earned their Bachelor of Science degree from the same university in Applied Physics from 2005 to 2008.
