Ilya Chorny

Ilya Chorny is an experienced leader in data science and technology, currently serving as Sr. Director of Data Science and Cloud Software at Quantum-Si since May 2023. Prior to this role, Ilya held the position of Chief Technology Officer at PetDx, where leadership was provided to various teams, establishing a cloud-first integrated platform. Other notable positions include Chief Business Officer at Vivid Genomics, and several roles at Illumina, where Ilya directed product marketing for the BaseSpace Sequence Hub. With a background as a Co-Founder of Simprota Corporation and experience as a patent agent at Morrison and Foerster, Ilya's expertise spans computational chemistry, bioinformatics, and product management. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Chemistry (Biophysics and Computational Chemistry) and a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
