Krzysztof Gizynski

Clinical Assay Research Scientist at QuantuMDx Group

Krzysztof Gizynski has a diverse work experience spanning over 14 years. Krzysztof started their career as a Placement Student at the Centre for Environment, Fisheries & Aquaculture Science (CEFAS) in 2006, where they worked on projects related to the development and testing of virus LENTICULES for Internal and External Quality Control for norovirus and hepatitis A virus. Krzysztof also contributed to the estimation of linearity, repeatability, limit of detection, and limit of quantification in a shellfish matrix in an ISO 17025 accredited RT-qPCR assay for the detection of norovirus in Crassostrea gigas.

In 2012, Gizynski joined The University of Nottingham's Clostridia Research Group as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Krzysztof worked in this position until 2014, contributing to research projects related to clostridia.

Following that, they worked at SPOREGEN LIMITED from 2014 to 2016, where they held the position of Senior Scientist.

In 2017, Gizynski joined QuantuMDx Group Limited as a Clinical Assay Research Scientist. In this role, they were involved in developing an assay for the detection of M. tuberculosis. Krzysztof also worked on optimizing biological sample processing for compatibility with a bacterial capture system and utilized the dielectric polarization technique to capture and concentrate bacteria.

Most recently, in 2020, Gizynski joined LEX Diagnostics as a Senior Reagent Development Scientist.

Krzysztof Gizynski pursued their education in molecular microbiology at Newcastle University. From 2008 to 2012, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in this field.
