Peter Ishiguro

Peter Ishiguro has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Peter is currently working as a System Engineer at QuantumScape since 2022. Prior to that, they were employed at L2F Inc. from 2016 to 2022, where they held positions such as Product Manager, Senior Systems Engineer, Systems Engineer, and Mechanical Engineer. In their roles at L2F Inc., they were responsible for mechanical concept and CAD design, machine building, and system integration in various fields including automotive, medical, and food. Peter also gained project management skills and collaborated closely with engineers from other specialties.

Before joining L2F Inc, Peter worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Brown University in 2015. Peter also had previous experience as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at L2F Inc. in 2015, where they contributed to design and modeling processes and tested prototypes for custom machine design and system integration.

Peter's earlier work experience includes a role as an Assistant Project Manager at Alares LLC in 2014, where they managed material orders, budgeting, contracts, invoices, and subcontractor bids. Peter also worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at Boston University in 2013, an Assistant Wrestling Coach at Boston University Wrestling Camp from 2012 to 2013, and a Sports Coach/Tutor at Cerebral Palsy of MA in 2012.

Furthermore, Peter served as an Assistant Wrestling Coach at Rat Pack from 2009 to 2011. Overall, their work experience showcases their versatility, project management skills, and ability to adapt to different industries and environments.

Peter Ishiguro has a Master's Degree in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship from Brown University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended Boston University - School of Engineering from 2011 to 2015 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Manufacturing Concentration and a minor in Electrical Engineering. Peter completed their high school education at Trabuco Hills High School from 2007 to 2011.

In terms of certifications, Peter obtained several throughout their career. In 2017, they became a Certified Robotic Expert from ria, and they also achieved the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance in the same year. In 2019, they obtained the Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing certification from Engineers Edge, LLC.

More recently, in 2020, Peter completed a Python Bootcamp from Udemy. In 2021, they acquired the Certified Solidworks Professional - Advanced Sheet Metal and Certified Solidworks Professional - Mechanical Design certifications from Dassault Systèmes. Additionally, they attended the Product Management Bootcamp at the University of California, Los Angeles.
