Thomas Wynn is a highly experienced materials engineer and manager with a focus on advanced materials chemistries and battery technologies. Currently serving as a Principal Member of Technical Staff and Senior Manager at QuantumScape, Thomas previously held managerial and engineering roles at Rivian, where responsibilities included leading a team in developing next-generation cell chemistries, including solid-state and sodium-ion batteries. Thomas has extensive research background with postdoctoral positions at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and UC San Diego, where efforts included high-throughput methods for thermoelectric materials and advanced characterization of lithium-ion battery electrodes.
