George MacKenzie

Mr. MacKenzie has been serving as the non-executive Chairman of American Water in Vorhees, NJ since 2006. Prior to this appointment, he was the interim President and CEO of C&D Technologies and Executive VP and CFO for Glatfelter. After 21 years, he retired from the Hercules Corporation in 2001 where he had served as their Vice Chairman and CFO. He is a graduate of both the University of Delaware and the University of Chicago. He also serves on the Board of Westminster Seminary. Mr. MacKenzie is a ruling elder at Proclamation Presbyterian Church in Bryn Mawr, PA. He has been a board member since 2005 and is the current Chairman of the Audit and Finance Committee.
