Douglas de Jong

Douglas De Jong has a diverse work experience in accounting and finance roles. Douglas is currently serving as the Director of Accounting at Quatrro Business Support Services since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Nonprofit Accounting Manager at the same company from January 2021 to December 2022.

In 2021, Douglas was also a part of EAB Solutions Inc. as a Nonprofit Accounting Manager before it was acquired by Quatrro. Douglas worked there from January 2021 to June 2021.

From 2018 to 2020, Douglas worked at Volunteers of America of Illinois. Douglas started as a Staff Accountant in February 2018 and was later promoted to the role of Benefits Specialist in February 2019. In February 2019, they also became a Senior Staff Accountant and was responsible for creating financial statements, leading the close process, and analyzing and projecting program revenue and expenses.

Before that, Douglas worked as a Tax Associate at Topel Forman, LLC from June 2015 to June 2017. Douglas prepared tax returns, corresponded with IRS and state agencies, and assisted with year-end bookkeeping. Douglas also gained experience as an Intern at Cray Kaiser LTD, where they prepared individual tax returns and demonstrated outstanding organizational skills during tax season from January 2015 to April 2015.

Douglas's career began as a Campus Ambassador for Becker Professional Education from August 2014 to April 2015. Douglas represented Becker CPA Review on campus, organized events, and provided feedback reports. Prior to that, they worked as an Accounting Intern at Industrial Specialty Chemicals, Inc from August 2013 to January 2015. Douglas assisted with accounting projects, financial statement preparation, and handled front office tasks.

During their early career, Douglas also worked as a Landscaper for a lawncare/landscaping organization from June 2010 to September 2013. Douglas performed various physical labors, interacted with customers, and contributed to sales efforts by participating in door-to-door sales calls and brainstorming the company slogan.

Douglas De Jong attended Trinity Christian College from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accountancy. In addition to their degree, they also hold several certifications, including a Not-for-Profit Certificate I obtained from the AICPA in January 2023, and a Notary Public certification obtained from the State of Illinois in March 2019.
