John Townsend

John Townsend is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in quantitative research and analysis. Currently serving as the Quantitative Research Director at Qube Research & Technologies since May 2019, Townsend previously held several significant roles, including Director of Research at Fidelity International, where development of the US equity research team was a primary focus, alongside leadership of global technology and real estate teams. Prior experience includes Senior Analyst/Fund Manager at Schroders, Director of Research for European & UK Equities at AllianceBernstein, and Associate at Booz Allen & Hamilton, with a foundation in economic research as an Assistant Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Financial Engineering from MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA in Quantitative Economics from Tufts University.
