Alvin Poo

Alvin Poo has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Alvin began their career as a Mechanical FA Engineer at Seagate Technology in 1997, before transitioning to a Sales & Application Engineer role at Moog Singapore Pte Ltd in 1998. At Moog, they were responsible for sales in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, focusing on industries such as Semicon machines, Injection Molding, and Blow Molding machines manufacturers.

In 2001, Alvin joined FTD Technology Pte Ltd as a Business Development Director. In this role, they headed the Embedded and IC design tools distribution business unit in the Asia-Pacific region.

From 2008 to 2010, they worked as an Assistant Director of Sales at Radiance Communications Pte Ltd. Later, they moved on to join Digi International in 2010 as a Channel Sales Manager, APAC, and eventually took on the role of Regional Sales Director, APAC in 2013. At Digi International, Alvin developed strategic accounts, particularly with Carriers and large companies, and worked with a team of Business Development Managers, Sales Engineers, and regional distributors.

Most recently, Alvin joined Quectel Wireless Solutions in 2019 as the Regional Sales Director for SE Asia.

Alvin Poo earned their MBA in Business Administration from the University of Bradford School of Management from 2007 to 2009. Prior to this, they completed their undergraduate studies at Nanyang Technological University Singapore, where they obtained a 2nd Class Honours degree in Mechanical from 1993 to 1997. Alvin also attended NYJC from 1988 to 1990, although the degree and field of study are unspecified.
