Sandy Barnett

Sandy Barnett has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Sandy began their career in 1992 as an RN at Deaconess Health System, where they provided care to patients on medical/surgical and dementia units and served as a preceptor to new nursing staff. Sandy later worked at Private Home Care Services, LLC as an RN Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations, implementing policies and procedures, and managing admissions and patient care.

In 2001, Sandy joined Western Medical Inc. as an RN Supervisor, where they managed and supervised direct care staff and provided admission and supervision for various programs. Sandy also acted as a preceptor for new direct care staff. From 2002 to 2007, Sandy worked as an RN Supervisor at Three Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation, supervising staff and providing care to residents with specialized needs.

In 2007, Sandy joined Comfort Keepers as an RN Manager, managing and supervising direct care and clerical staff, hiring and training employees, and ensuring patient and staff needs were met.

From 2012 to 2015, Sandy worked as an RN Case Manager at Crossroads Hospice, evaluating and addressing the physical, mental, and emotional needs of patients and families. Sandy worked with an interdisciplinary team to provide holistic care and acted as a preceptor to new nursing employees.

Since 2015, Sandy has held the position of Regional Director of Quality and Education at Queen City Hospice, Day City Hospice, and Capital City Hospice. In this role, they evaluate practices to maximize efficiency and optimize patient care, leads new process implementation, trains staff members, and ensures state and hospice requirements are consistently followed.

Throughout their career, Sandy has demonstrated a strong commitment to providing excellent patient care, leading teams, and implementing efficient processes.

Sandy Barnett earned an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Northern Kentucky University. Sandy completed their education and graduated in 1992.
