Alana Coulum is an experienced library professional with a strong background in community service and educational support. Currently serving as the Assistant Community Library Manager and General Librarian at Queens Library since May 2015, Alana excels in providing reference and reader's advisory services. Previous roles include Employment Counselor at Ridgewood Community Library, where Alana facilitated workshops to enhance job readiness, and Library Aide at the Fashion Institute of Technology, assisting with circulation and interlibrary loans. Alana's academic background includes a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from St. John's University and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from SUNY Potsdam, complemented by a study abroad experience in Japan.
