Chris Carvey has a diverse work experience in various roles related to library sciences, user experience, and technology. Chris has experience working with organizations such as National Information Standards Organization, Queens Library, American Library Association, and MLB Advanced Media. Chris has expertise in areas such as UI/UX design, project management, and web development. Chris has also worked as a consultant and founder of their own company.
Chris Carvey's education history starts in 1991 when they attended the School of Visual Arts and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising and Graphic Design in 1995.
In 1997, they attended United Digital Artists to study Web 1, 2, 3: Tools & Techniques, Site building, Audio/Video, etc.
In 2006, Chris attended AGI-Aquent Training and received a "Bachelor of Awesome" degree in Advanced Flash. Chris also took the NYPHP PHP Designer Intro Class to study PHP programming.
From 2009 to 2015, they studied Emotionally Intelligent Leadership and Web Development at New York University.
In 2012, Chris attended Rosenfeld Media UX Workshops to study Adaptable Information Architecture, Mobile Prototyping, and DIY Usability Testing.
In 2015, they completed CollabNet Agile Training to receive a Certificate of Completion in Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO). Chris also obtained a Certificate of Completion in Certified UX Practitioner from Nielson Norman Group and a Member Certifcate from The Interaction Design Foundation, both in the field of User Experience.
Furthermore, Chris Carvey holds additional certifications including UX Certification (UXC) from Nielsen Norman Group and the Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO) from Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in 2015.
